If you happen to have one of these Hybrid CrossFire X motherboards and maybe a AMD video card and want to give it a try...
Spent a couple days working on this and thought I would post some knowledge I gained if you're trying it.
I picked up a Gigabyte 880G motherboard (with onboard HD 4250) that is supposed to have Hybrid CrossFire capability. Spent a couple days figuring it out.
Seems that the manual is wrong for the newer card(s).
Manual states that with HD 3xxx and HD 4xxx to select in the motherboard bios: 256MB, Surround View disabled, Initial Display is OnBoard Graphics (or IGFX) and use the motherboard VIDEO port.
But on the newer HD 5450, (didn't work on the HD 5570 or the HD 6670 I have, will check the HD 6450 later).
You need to select 256MB, Surround View enabled, Initial Display is PEG1 and use the VIDEO CARD port (not the onboard port).
When you reboot and if you have AMD drivers 12.6 (last version to support this) installed, it should detect the card and you can now select CrossFire.
Update: Tried a Asus HD 6450 and it wouldn't detect it for CrossFire.
