I moved my HTPC to Windows 8 and am, so far, really liking it. the netflix app is quite good. WMC works as well as ever.
Having "metro" game apps is very nice.

The main problem right now is that text is a bit hard to read from the couch. The desktop still has the option to enlarge screen elements to make text, etc. bigger.
But that doesn't work on the start screen or metro apps.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to scale metro screen elements?

On the Metro start screen, do a search for size (just start typing to search) and it should bring up the "Make everything on your screen bigger" option under settings.

This a certainly something that needs to be turned on for the HTPC. It completely transforms metro into something very usable.
