I just bought a copy of Win8 Pro from Dell, via my wife's work discount. We paid $70. It was claimed to be marked down from some ridiculous, sky-high price of $200 or $300 or some such nonsense.

Cheap options include asking a college student to buy a college copy for you, or look for discounts through your employer, or your friend's employer, etc.

There may be cheaper ways, but these are the methods I'm aware of.

Check places like directron.com or directdeals.com. I've used both sites for years.

If you are or know someone who is taking classes at a big university, you can get a copy of windows from Free to under $20. Those are limited to install on 1 machine, usually, but some are 3 installs packs.

Or if you have a friend in IT at work, you can get a copy corporate version, or the code for the corporate version from them. Those usually have hundreds of installs per code.

6 TV's in the house on FiOS and we only pay $4.99/month to connect them all!!! Power to the CableCard and WMC7!!!
