Am using an XP SP3 machine with 1394 ports to connect to a JVC DVHS machine (model HM-DH40000U) and using Cyberlink PowerDirector 11 to try and transfer my content from the DVHS to the computer. PowerDirector 11 Ultra sees and identifies the DVHS correctly and even executes a play command when it is first connected, but nothing happens and my controls on the computer don't work. Was hoping someone on this board would have a solution for this. Under Device Manager, my deck does show up as an AV/C device with the yellow ? for needing a driver. I attempted to force load a driver for a JVC HDV recorder/player and some controls seem to show up, but it still will not capture. Don't want to use the CAPVHS application as that appears to only be able to capture in 720x480 mode... Anyone have any ideas on this?

Thanks, Bob

ditch cyberlink junk-i highly doubt it will capture mpeg2-ts, rather only DV. use capdvhs, tsreader, osx avcvideocap, etc...
