I have no idea but I think so. I just learned about it today. It is a fork of MPC-HC that looks to only be a few months old. More research is required here.

Looks like it from this post -

Might have to test it out on my test rig.

Yes came across it the other day, runs everything mpc-hc does. As Sammy says its a fork of mpc-hc. Quite stable for a 'beta' - resolves my issues with chapter skip. Unless under the hood is different, there is little to distinguish the two - slighlty different OSD, but presented along very similar lines to mpc-hc

Does it do fast forward and rewind with a remote?

So that is the same as MPC-HC. That is probably the only reason I would make the change. Right now I have the >> and << keys mapped to a 30 second skip right now but will probably reduce that a bit.

Does it have the same or similar "right click" menu system?

Sammy - its almost identical - one or two cosmetic changes, but that's all - certainly that I can see. I can use it the same way I did mpc-hc, with the exception that chapter skip works with this build.

Sorry yes to answer your question - right click menu system as before.

There are the jump buttons that, if you hold them down, kind of act as a ff/rw. Not as good, but at least it's something.

It seams that I am having chapter support in MPC-HC but I may be wrong. I think it is a setting in the "Keys" menu.

It is ff/rew that is not like i'd like it to be with the jump function programed to the H-900.

Agreed. True FF/RW on either MPC version would make it almost perfect.

So maybe I wait to install this as it really isn't much of an improvement at this time.

When you guys say "chapter support in mpc missing (or not)", last time I played a DVD I could skip chapters back and forth. Same goes for chapters in mkvs (if those are included). So I don't think that that is missing (not working) in mpc-hc. Could well be a configuration issue due to keys being mapped to other functions.

If you dig down into the MPC-HC menus, you can get creative with your Harmony remote. My skip buttons do a 10 second back/ 30 second forward and my FF/RW buttons do a 10 minutes skip forward and back.

Chapter skip is there in mpc-hc and all variants, but has been broken for at least the last 2 builds - misses chapters on skip (ie moving from 1 to 3, 4 to 6 etc) have raised this as a bug with the devs.
