So I guess I finally noticed my HTPC has a program called "Dolby Home Theater v4" on it, which is turned on and set to "Movies". Do I want to turn this off when playing blu rays through my HTPC to my preamp? I would assume so, I guess I installed it with drivers but wanted to check if anyone has had experience with it.

Thanks!

It depends on the connection from HTPC to the preamp. Dolby Home Theater works only with LPCM audio streams coming into the onboard audio codec (then output from S/PDIF or analog).

Ah ok. I'm just using HDMI for everything, but was just wondering if it was altering the sound playing off my blu rays
