Does this file no longer exist in the "endless MKV" thread?

Are you referring to the DTSdecoder dll? If you use LAV i dont think this file is needed anymore. I recently reformatted my htpc, forgot to find and put that file in the ncessary spot and my DTS HD mkv's work fine. Actually this thread just reminded me about that file.

i can find it and email it to you but not until i get home from work 8hrs from now:)

Its only needed if you want LAV to decode DTS-HD and send it as PCM. If you are bitstreaming and allowing the receiver to decode the stream its not needed and doubt it ever was.

You need it to rip any bluray with dts-ma audio. This isn't for playback....it's for ripping my movies to the htpc.

Don't think you do. MakeMKV, ClownBD and AnotherEAC3to will all rip without it - unless you are looking to rip to FLAC which I believe requires that particular file. Perhaps if you were a little less obtuse it would be easier to provide an answer.

My copy of MakeMKV wouldn't do it without it. I found an old copy of the TMT file and once installed, it ripped perfectly.

You must have selected an option to convert the audio, that's the only reason a DECODER would be required, because a conversion would require a decode/re-encode. If you're just "ripping" the streams aren't decoded, they are just copied from the disc to your hard drive. And potentially re-muxed to a different container.
