First off THANK YOU to everyone on this forum. I've learned a ton from others feedback, experiences and the wealth of shared knowledge. I wouldn't be here without this forum!

Anyway lately I've thought about putting together a HTPC to mostly stream movies, play Blu-Rays, stream some music, a little light gaming here and there but nothing major. I spoke with my brother and bought an 'old' computer he had laying around for $75. Might be a little overkill but it should get the job done!

HTPC:

AMD Phenom X2 3.2 Ghz Dual Core w/ Zalman cooler

4 GB DDR2 Ram

250gb HD

Nvidia 9800 GT (You'll want to change this to your HDMI card) -> REPLACED with a Sapphire Radeon 6670 for HDMI 1.4a support

Gigabyte GA-M720

Power Supply

Case -> TO BE REPLACED with nMedia "reciever" type of case

DVD/CDRW drive -> TO BE REPLACED with Blu Ray player of some sort

Home Theater (currently 5.1 but will be expanded):

Onkyo NR-709 Reciever

Energy CF-70 Towers

Energy CR-10 Surround/Backs

Energy CC-10 Center Channel

(2x) Energy S10.3 Subwoofer

Vizio SV470XVT (bought YEARS ago when 120hz just came out...)

So thoughts? Comments? Critiques? Not looking to build a monsters but a stable platform that for less than $200 will get me up and running!

Thanks and see everyone on the boards!
