Right, I saw that - but unless I'm missing something, there doesn't appear to be anything different between Models 1504 and 1512 except that my 1512's sticker says EV3 and my 1504's sticker says EV1. On both stickers it even says GE PLUS.

The real difference appears to be just the included accessories from what I can tell.

Update: Okay, I did notice one thing different. When the GE PLUS EV3 is connected, it loads the WinTV Remote Controller automatically in the system tray, so I guess there is something in it that is identifying it as the HD PVR 2 and not the GE PLUS 1504. They both so far operate exactly the same. Interesting.

What is a good editor for the MP4 format. I tried using Adobe premiere and the audio is delayed to the video.

I'm using the component connections with fiber optics for the sound. I tried to edit out the commercials and it messed up the audio once I published the file.

I'm having issues with plex recognizing the .ts files. I have ran the captured video through ts doctor to cut the commercials out and then tried to upload it on to plex. It isn't showing the files.

I've been using WinTV v7 with the 1512. Wasn't elegant, but I got it all to work.

This week, for some unknown reason, nothing that was scheduled recorded. Couldn't find any issues. It just seemed as if the scheduler stopped working. Figured I'd tinker with it, but noticed an upgrade to v8. Installed that and set it up the same way I had v7. Lo and behold, I get audio but no video. Started with HDMI for video and TOSLINK for audio. Tried HDMI for video and audio. Still got audio. No video. Reinstalled the latest 1512 drivers. Audio, no video.

I know it's not the box nor the connections in that both Hauppauge Capture and Arcsoft Capture get video and audio just fine.

And WinTV v7 was working when I uninstalled it (scheduler notwithstanding).

Ticket opened. Thoughts?

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.
