I'd like to be able to remotely add recordings from my phone.

it would be doubly nice if I could see what was recorded and what was scheduled to record.

Thank you!

I use Remote Potato. It will also stream your recordings to your phone or another PC. I think Ceton My Media Center does the same thing (minus the streaming part).

There are probably more apps, but those are the ones I've used with good results.

This will offer what you are looking to do as well as give you access to the actual recordings.

LOL, posted right after mdavej, but that confirms it.

I use PLEX and MyMediaCenter.

How's the streaming quality using Remote Potato?

Actually, it's pretty nice. You can choose the quality you would like and then need a good video player that will actually play the video. I've used BS Player with best results with my devices. I use PLEX as well and prefer that because I don't use WMC and /or network tuners so no need for the TV recording functions. Add the automatic cataloging and movie art and PLEX wins out for me.

I have issues with PLEX on my phone using 3g/4g. It seems to go for 5 to 10 minutes and then fails. Maybe it is Sprint but I have them for unlimited data for exactly this sort of thing.

Definitely give Remote Potato a try, assuming your on an android device you want the Remote Media Center app.

If it's an Apple device then there is cost for admission but the product is worth it from my experience with it. Just don't expect any fancy movie art for your library. Haven't used it for a while though so that my not be entirely true.
