Hi Al, I am new to this forum so I hope this is in the right place.

My HTPC

CPU - Athlon II X3
GPU - XFX HD5450
Blu ray drive - LG CH10LS20 recently swapped to ASUS BW-12B1ST
Windows XP Pro with SP3
Power DVD 11 Ultra
VLC 2.0
DVDFab 8
UDF2.6 installed
LCD Sony KDL32D3000
Video and Audio connected via HDMI through HD5450 into Sony LCD

My problem:

When trying to play a bluray (London Olympics 2012 disc 1 or 2) in PowerDVD 11 Ultra I get the error :

"Cyberlink Power DVDcannot access the storage device"
I then am asked to change the region which I select B, Europe then get an Error in DLL window.

VLC 2.0 also refuses to play the disc

However DVDfab can play the disc in the small sample player at the bottom left of the program.

Can anyone explain how to get PowerDVD and VLC working?

Thanks.

Update. Installed tmt 6 trial version. This works ok. I dont want to have to pay for another player so is there anything that tmt6 does that can be copied over to powerdvd?

Power DVD 11 is broken. If you re-install, but patch only to the 3/12 and not the latest patch it will work. Supposedly they are working on a patch.

Thank you,

I will try this when I get home.

So that may fix PowerDVD, any idea why VLC 2.0 wont work?
