I had the exact same fears. For a while I had trouble sleeping at night. My wife used to have to calm me down. But then I read the user license and found out I could indeed install it on a pc I build for myself smile.gif

OEM just means good for one machine or specific configuration. You can not use the same license on another machine in the future. With a retail license I think you can do that. (like replace a PC with a totally new one and use the same key)

Guys look up IEEE if you know a student. $32 membership to IEEE you can get upto 8 windows 8 keys for free (think you can get windows 7 too). If they dont have W7 then check out ACM they are very similar and have free software with membership fee .
