All,

Is there an application that I can use that will download metadata for my movie folder on my windows home server? I have been looking at media center master, but so far it doesn't seem to be working (I'm still experimenting with it though). My goal is to provide synopsis data for all my movies. I have Yammm running in the background for cover art, but that's all it does.

If media center master is the right application, is there a guide available for it? Do I have to remove Yammm?

I could never get Media Center Master working the way I wanted it. I started using Metabrowser instead and it's been getting the job done for me as a service on my WHS2011 box. Only downside is that it's not free.

I use mediacentermaster with good success for this.

What do you use for a front end? XMBC? mediabrowser.

You need the paid version of MCM to do everything, but make sure you have it set to create the metatdata for the front end you use.

I would like to use the standard Windows 7 media center interface as my front end. Is that possible?

My Movies has a WHS 2011 (and Windows Server 2012 Essentials) database component that runs on your server that the WMC application connects to.

Well, I've been experimenting with media center master for about an hour now, and I've figured out how to download metadata and place it in the correct folder. The problem now is that my HTPC's still show the old (Yammm generated) xml data (which is essentially nothing). Do I need to clear out all the old Yammm xml stuff for the new stuff to work?

Mediabrowser plugin for WMC is better choice IMO
