Hi,

I want to connect my PC to my AVR with HDMI (I want the sound and the image to get to my onkyo home theater system in the basement). Then connect my projector to the AVR.

My question is, will I get both image and sound coming from my computer to my home theater ?
If not, how can I do it ?

Thanks !

Yes, unless you PC or video card is really old. Most HDMI from a PC these days carries video and audio. If not, then a cheap card like the AMD HD 6450 will work fine. I got mine on sale a while back for about $15.

I have two GTX 460 in SLI. When I connect my projector to my computer with a VGA cablr it works fine. However, it doesn't work when I plug an HDMI cable from the projector (BenQ W1070) to the mini-HDMI of the graphic card... Any ideas why ?

EDIT : Found the problem, the mini HDMI adapter was not connected properly...
