Have an Onkyo 605 and I'm currently running Windows 7 wiht a 7950. Latest drivers installed . Here's my issue, recently my Onkyo will start clicking (the sound it makes when the amps turn on and off) when no audio us playing. As soon as I start a game, song, or movie it stops clicking and plays whatever it is perfect. Soon as whatever is playing stops its starts clicking again. Doesn't do it with anything else (PS3, Xbox, WiiU). Anyone have an idea at whats wrong?

EDIT ok turns out I dont have any audio except when i'm in a game. Movies and music have no sound and the AVR just slicks. THis is strange

I'd written about this issue on my O 803... I'm using HDMI Audio and have it configured as 2-ch STEREO and use PASSTHROUGH in the apps to send digital audio to my O.  IF I select 5.1 speaker config in the HDMI Audio I get this clicking in between whatever I'm doing.  Seems the O can decode PCM and the 5.1 (DTS, AC3) formats internally (meaning not clicking a relay) but it has to click a relay when the PC sends various "simulated" formats.  Just try and see.
