I gave up waiting for the Blackgold - all delivery promises were not met due to 'production problems'. So I bought a TBS and it has worked flawlessly for two years. No constant f/w updates to fix problems and, when I bought mine, it was considerably cheaper than the BG.

So the TBS tuners are quite stable? Work great with WMC probably?
I'm looking at the 6280 as well, might even go crazy and get the 6284.

Using a 6280 in my 7MC. Best tuner I've ever had. Rock solid, and drivers are updated regularly. They do a quad tuner as well.

I have a 3620 and it performs perfectly.
OTOH I had many issues with my TBS DVB-S2 cards.

I am using DVBlink, though.

Sorry I should have said I am using the TBS DVB-S2 card with WMC. Never had a problem with stability - it just works!

Do a search on Blackgold and you will see there are some issues e.g. http://shop.blackgold.tv/Support/Product-Hot-Topics/Media-Center/Media-Center-7-Issue-PC-locking-high-memory-usage-loss-of-tuners

That's great to hear. I just haven't heard of TurboSight brand ever before so I was a tad skeptical.
I was looking at the quad tuner, the 6284 like I said in my post. Not sure if I'd be comfortable shelling that much for a DVB tuner though.
And don't really know whether or not my signal would be good enough for four simultaneous recordings.
Right now with my signal being split to my Terratec H7 and my TV and watching same channel packet on both of them I don't see a drop in strength. The quality is at 100% of course. So recording max two channels from one packet would probably be okay while watching a third from other packet.
I might just get the 6280, not like I'd need to have four tuners. Watching one and recording another is good enough. And if it happens that there's three programs coming at the same time I could just record two and switch over to my telly.
