Ok, unless it's just me, it appears as though www.flexraid.com is down (forum. is up, so is the wiki..) but without the main page, I can't seem to find a way to download the trial.

Anyone have an alternate link or location where the latest trial can be downloaded?

If you are looking for a basic RAID4 solution, you should try out Disparity http://www.vilett.com/disParity/beta.html

It allows you to undelete files as well as entire HDD restores. It is also open source (free) and has a nice GUI.

Hmm. Well, based on a lot of the thought here (and elsewhere) I'm trying to come up with a simple just drive pool (I can re-rip anything later)... but 30TB right now; so I figured it was worth it for the cost of Flex.. but not being able to get it is really putting a crimp in my plan tonight wink.gif Got through the WHS2011 base install, but can't jump the next step.

I'll do some research on the link you sent.

Eh, gave up. I went back to what I knew, so since I wanted to start moving file copy along over night, just went with Stable Bit and built the pool to start the copy going.

There's a major release coming to FlexRAID (tRAID), so I'm guessing that's why it's down as he updates the pages.

Yeah, since t-raid is disk based methodology, it's way less interesting to me. I get the "level of security" element they are looking at, but realistically, I'm backing up the few things I care about, but if 26TB of my RAID died tomorrow, it wouldn't be the end of the world, I could re-rip everything I have, just annoying... so my goal was really just a single large drive pool. In the end, I had considered FlexRAID to try something new on this configuration, but I just don't think the benefit I'm going to get is worth it; so I'll stick with Stablebit up and running and copy in progress.

So Apple and FlexRAID are the only two companies in the world that have to take down their website to add new products. Just think if Amazon or eBay went down every time something new was added.
