Tried searching around for settings to reduce or avoid banding. I am using jriver + madvr jinc 3 and output 3840x2160@23(24). I get too much blanding I believe and was wondering if there are some obvious settings I need to change?

GTX 970 GPU btw.

Doesn't madVR's built-in debend filter help?

Dont know. Just enabled dvxa upscaling and then maxed out everything else. Also set "high" in debanding. Didnt help. Maybe its in the source?

Maybe it's temporal color banding in sources and need some kind of frame interpolation technique to be solved I'm afraid.

What's the recommended level/upscaler to use for upscaling 1080p to 4k uhd? Is it Jinc+3 taps, or Nedi, or something else?

Is it a post in this thread somewhere or some other thread that gives general guidelines on what settings to turn on in madVR for the best quality? I have a HTPC running a mobile core i7 and integrated graphics and another running an overclocked i7 and GTX 980, so I need a guide to show me multiple scenarios. I know I saw it, just not sure in what thread, or if its constantly updated.
