Hi,

I am wondering if anyone might know anyway to fix this issue which only started happening a few days aqo.

I have had my PC plugged into the Bluray HDMI port of my Denon AVR for the last 4 months and was working perfectly fine up until a few days ago - it now refuses to acknowledge the PC is plugged in - when I switch the AVR to Blu-ray it says No Signal on my LG TV. Plugging the PC straight into the TV works fine - I have tried about 5 different HDMI cables. With one particular cable I did manage to get a display but it went off for 2 seconds then on for 1 second on a loop - with some fuzziness/snow around the desktop icons etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

thanks.

Have you tried several different HDMI inputs on the receiver?
If a different input works, then the original input might have gotten damaged.

Also, have you tried a different power-on order?
Often turning on TV first, then AVR, and finally player device (HTPC in your case) works best. Of course, you should wait until each finishes booting before turning on the next, so they're ready to transmit and forward the EDID info when asked by the PC.

After doing that power-up sequence, you might check to see if the PC detects the AVR. If it is detected, it should be listed in the "Playback devices" menu.

Hey thanks for your reply. I have tried all inputs, including the one on the front. Have tried every boot order. I have noticed if I put the AVR on the input the PC is plugged into before I turn the PC on, its just a black screen where I can use the Denons GUI - as soon as I turn on the PC it turns to No Signal.

I have also used teamviewer to see whats happening when its plugged into the AVR - it shows up as the graphical / sound device. Totally lost here frown.gif
