I'm getting intermediate lagging video in Media Player Classic when I watch mkv (blu-ray rips) in 24hz.

The video starts out smooth but about every 45 secs the video will lag for about 2-5 secs then become smooth again.
It does not do this when I play Blu-ray files or mkv files in VLC and Total Media Player 5.

I tried both the single MPC-HC player installation and the one bundled with the KLite Codec Pack with no success.
Are there any options I can enable or disable to fix this?
What causes this lag? (Choppy Video)
