Bit overwhelened with all of the info out there, pleasehelp kme narrow this down -

I need an HTPC that will record clearqam (I plan on using HD home run for this) and will stream 1080p off NAS. Please recommend me components, budget is as cheap as possible. As I wrote above, I'm just overwhelmed with all of the options.

PS I'm Microsoft technet subscriber, so please don't include software pricing in my "as cheap as possible"

How much local storage for recordings do you require? Will you off-load the recordings to your NAS on some schedule (like every night?)

You only mention recording but will you be using this HTPC for playback? Viewing live TV?

2TB would be sufficient for storage. I won't offload recordings as this will be used to record local channels that I can't get via satellite and for HBO Go/Netflix/Vudu and such. I'll also use it for playback of local MKV files and the recordings.

I would check the hardware guide and then come back with any questions.
