Hi there,
While creating my hometheater living room I thought it would be nice to also use my HTPC as a input for the split screen option.
So my Onkyo TX NR 616 reciever goes to HDMI1, and as a secondary input I use a component cable.
I already have run the cables so I really have to use this option, but I made a design flaw.

I thought I could use my DVI port and use a DVI => Component adapter and run those to my projector.
But as some may know; This doesn't work! DVI is digital, and the conversion to component doesn't work.

Can anyone give me some tips how I can make this work? Please take in mind that I have to use the component cable, and the HDMI output is already taken.

Thanks in advance!

Can't you just do dvi>HDMI to receiver to projector?

The spit screen function on the projector only can handle 1 HDMI input. So component is the option I must use. (And I already have the cables).

I am thinking of this stupid way; DVI => HDMI => HDMI convertor to component => Component.
That will be 50 USD of extra costs, but if it works than it's fine.
Are there any more things I can consider?

I can think of two options 1st a hdmi to component adapter box or 2nd add videocard with component out sometimes called hdtv out socket.
