This is the first time I've seen any mention of dual restarts for an update and issues that this causes. Has anyone applied this update to their system yet?

Okay, so I went ahead and installed this update and it is exactly as described.

My computer hung on a black/blank screen on initial re-boot after downloading and installing the update.

I hit the reset button to reset and it re-stared whereupon it was at 32% "configured" for several minutes before giving me a log in screen.

So, if you are about to do this update, it works but it is a bit frustrating. I was thinking that I needed to go into recovery mode there for a bit so be patient!

I didn't have any problems with this month's patches, but I did notice that my Win7 HTPC autodetected a "new" USB controller (saw the New Hardware alert in the system tray), and it auto-installed itself after the PC finished its post-patch reboot. Everything seems fine ATM.
