Black Friday is almost here. It's that magical time of year when retailers are so greedy to post high sales numbers to satisfy upper management, shareholders and the general public that they are willing to sell items at a loss ! I am all for buying a hard drive $10 each under wholesale cost and knowing I got a great deal while the retailer probably lost $10 on me chasing their greed. Feelsgood.jpeg.

Last year I bought 5 Seagate 3TB HDD's for $89 a piece and for the last 12 months I've struggled to achieve the same value. What will 2013 Bring ?

I see BestBuy ad is already leaked and they have the Harmony Remote for $39 (That seems legit biggrin.gif )

What else have you guys seen that looks good ? POST UP YOUR DEALS FOUND NOW !

Is this BF special gonna be in-stampede... I mean... in-store only? Or will it be available for purchase online as well? Thanks for starting this thread, BTW smile.gif

My sentiments exactly on the WD RED.

Mfusick (or anyone else), did you catch this one 2 days ago (via Slickdeals):

Toshiba 2TB 7200RPM 3.5" internal HDD for $28

Turns out it was a price error on Toshiba(dot)com, but they honored it for one unit per household. Quantities over 1 and any subsequent orders were cancelled. They also had the 3TB model on sale for $42, so both models were incorrectly priced at $14-per-Terabyte eek.gif

Then there was the Walmart snafu a couple weeks ago. So sometimes (with apologies to Mr. Gecko) corporate greed is good... for us biggrin.gif

Newegg has some good deals on the 7870 series graphic cards. Thinking about pulling the trigger.

Unreported deals, as of this moment, for the HTPC crowd:

Intel NUC Haswell i3 for $269

Intel NUC Haswell i5 for $359

Mushkin mSATA 120GB for $79. Compatible with Intel NUCs.

Thanks for the tip on the nuc, just ordered the i5 that I've been putting off for just this occasion.

I think you should have enough power. Your CPU and MOBO and RAM probably will be about 130 watts. Add 10 watts for each HDD (40 watts) and with optical and SSD your around 200 watts - so a 500 watt PSU is more than enough for a single GPU card.
