guys, almost ready to buy everything for my HTPC.

Last thing is I really want it to be able to watch liveTV & record, etc.

Key here is now that mediabrowser3 now supports LiveTV I can finally have 1 user interface for the family!

I'll do roku as the start, then they'll launch mediabrowser to watch livetv or movies stored.

Question is I'm doing overt the air antenna, what's the best solution for the best quality picture?

Thanks!!

Ah thank you.. anyone have one to tell me how loud the HD homerun is? My concern is I have a simpletv version 2 made by silicon dust & the fan is LOUD. Trying to not have loud things in my media closet. Also, should I wait for the new one?

looks like the new plus has a fan since it streams on the fly to DLNA devices.

More accurately, it has a fan since it transcodes to h264 on the fly. The old one streamed to DLNA devices that had mpeg2 video playback capabilities

The fan is way too loud. Terrible decision. I would gladly pay more for a larger box that's passively cooled or with a more expensive quiet fan. It runs even when tuners not in use randomly.

Any recommendations on fans to replace it with if possible?
