I think that I am going with the Intel i5. I am actually looking at getting a discrete GPU, the EVGA GeForce 750Ti. What do you guys think of that card? Can it handle the load that I need it for?

Good choice. I think there is going to be a sale pretty soon on Haswell processors because Haswell refresh is soon to be released. Shop around for a sale price.

I went with the Asus GTX750ti because of the price and the EXCELLENT reviews on the fans cooling performance and because they're so quiet. The card is great for what I'm asking it to do which is play games.

Theater set-up:

AVR:  Pioneer VSX-820

Speakers:  5.1 consists of four NHT Classic Two bookshelf and an NHT TwoC center

Sub:  PSA-XV15

HTPC - ridiculously over-the-top, home-built gaming PC that I tinker with daily!

OTA antenna:  Winegard HD7698P

HDTV:  Sharp LC-60SQ15U

I am looking at the Asus because of that reason. I also have my eye on the EVGA.

Do you think that my PSU (430 watt) will be able to power it, or should I go with a bigger PSU?

The PSU you chose should be totally sufficient even for a 750ti.

Alrighty. I have my HTPC up and running. Finally! Set it up witout a hitch...well, all most. I noticed that the idle temps on my i5 4570 are hovering around the low to mid 40s. I was expecting low to mid 30s. Are the idle temps too high for that CPU?

Here is a screen shot of the temps i'm maintaining while watching WMC.  I bought the Noctua 140mm cooler and then bought the extra fan.  It is incredibly quiet.  I hated how the Intel cooler mounted to my motherboard.  There was really nothing wrong with the Intel cooler... I did get a solid 10c difference though.

I stuck with the stock cooler. I didn't reach high temps when under load. I think it is going to be just fine.

Thanks for all of the help and advice!
