Just thought I would start a thread on the HTPC that I will be building this weekend.

Case: Fractal Design Node 605 ATX Case Black

MB: MSI Z87M Gaming mATX LGA1150

Processor: Intel Core i5 4670K Unlocked Quad Core 3.4GHZ

CPU cooler: Noctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO CPU Cooler

PS: SeaSonic SSR-450RM 450W

3 of these for the case (going to remove the LED): Enermax T.B.SILENCE 120MM Blue LED Twister Case Fan

Video card: MSI R9 270 GAMING 2GB

SSD: Crucial M500 240GB

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Remote: PC Remote Control & Wireless Mice Windows MCE Vista XP

OS: Win8.1 Pro

Going to play some games and also run MB3 Theater, Album player and J River through this beast. It is going to scream.

It is going to take me a while to get all of my movies organized but I really like MB3 so far. Once I get everything in order I will then start adding games.

I like how the 605 looks but to me it isn't worth 150$ at least with its current configuration and features.

The 605 is over priced but it looks sooooo good.

Not a big fan of the blue lighting. You can't really see it with the cover on. There is also no room for cable management so I just left them "as is"

Are you running the MB3 server on this PC or do you have another machine with your media on it? I'm curious because I'm building a new one right now and I cant decide which one to run the server on.

No offense but your wire management takes my OCD level up to about 9.5 eek.gif

The wiring is a complete mess.
I have a 38TB server running MB Server. I have tried several media jukeboxes and this is the best looking by far.
