Been searching for one for more than a week... do they still make them?
IR not needed, and if possible no front display...

Any Advise?

Thanks,

I use a modified version of the Silverstone LC02 case for a number of my HTPCs (other than the main theater HTPC, which is rackmount). These cases were really nice. Came with a 250w flex ATX PSU, support a full ATX motherboard, TWO PCI slots (using risers), a slim optical drive and a 3.5" HDD (or two 2.5" with an adapter). They even came with IR built in!

I wish I had bought more at the time, only bought 5. They do tend to get warm though, so ventilation is a must.

I can't think of any low profile HTPC specific cases for an ATX (12" x 9.6") board, but consider a 1U or 2U server chassis such as this one:

Yup, these kinds of cases have all but disappeared. These were low volume items for a niche segment. No long term profits for the companies...

Thanks man,

I have been considering something similar...

http://www.plinkusa.net/2u.htm

The costs begin to add up when considering a good power supply, ribbon riser cards... etc... plus shipment costs from U.S to Europe and applicable import taxes / custom duties...

Think I will just go for one of the full height Silverstone cases and call it a day...

Thanks once more...

There may be hope in the upcoming Hd-plex H5

http://www.hd-plex.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2074

I own a current generation H5, with a riser adapter and a silent video card (Core2duo in MATX motherboard + HD6450 and power adapter in the case), which doesn't accept ATX mobos contrary to the upcoming version.

I did write a review of it (without the video card) here: Unofficial HDPLEX H5.TODD thread
