120mm fan suggestions for Norco 4224 case.

I'm buying a Norco 4224 case and I'm going to use the replacement fan mounting plate Norco sells that holds 3 120mm fans. Does anyone have suggestions for 120mm fans that are quiet ut still can do the job? These fans are going to be used in a environment with a good deal of static pressure. Some of the fans I've seen suggested in various posts across the next are: Noctua NF-P12, Noctua NF-F12, Scythe SY1225SL12LM-P, Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition CO-9050008-WW, Scythe-d1225c12b7ap-29, Scythe GentleTyphoon D1225C12B5AP-15. I'm open to other suggestions for fans.

Also look into the Rosewill Hyperborea, its a rebranded Akasa Apache. If your motherboard has an extra PWM header you can buy a pwm splitter to control all the fans.

I go along with Mrkazador, NewEgg is my choice for most "stuff". Not only are the prices great, but the comments and "egg" ratings are very helpful about each product, theres even a special "Question/ Answer" section for purchasers information exchange,,,

Does this fan work well in high static pressure situations? The Norco 4224 case holds 24 hard drives and is cramped so the fans have to do a lot of work getting the air through.

I have SilenX EFX-12-15 in my 4220. Seems to work good, not too loud and I can feel some air flow when I place my hand in front of the drives. I have the server in a walk in closet, my hottest drive is a WD black that runs at 40c while the motherboard is at about 37c. However I wouldn't believe the numbers they advertise.

I believe Mfusick is using XIGMATEK eXTREME SILENT in his 4220. These are some pretty inexpensive fans and come in a four pack.

Yeah, the hyperborea have a static pressure of 2.64. The corsair sp120 can do 3.1 but it also runs at a higher rpm so its probably a bit louder. The corsair fans are real good but pricey.

I tried the replacement fan plate option and the metal chassis fit was so bad I just kept the 80cm fans (upgraded to something quieter) and put the thing in a closet.

As some others have achieved "goodness" with this mod, YMMV, it's a nice chassis, and I have 2 of them.
