NOOB HTPC build help please

so here are 2 different builds I would like your opinion on please.
My goal is to decrease my cable bill as much as possible, hopefully just pay for internet. I will have WIN7 with WMC and a HDHOMERUN (not sure if I should go with the cable card model or the QAM model) running on the HTPC. Also I will be adding XBMC for the things it has to offer (movies etc.) I have a intel nuc celeron now which does fine but gets kind of pixely with the 1080p stuff (I will end up just putting it in the bedroom).

Also what are your though for either of these having a video card? or sound card?

Build 1: Assasin basic build minus the optical drive (dont need it)

Build 2: http://techbuyersguru.com/HTPCbuild.php

thank you for your input, I appreciate it

1. You can rebuild your NUC with OpenELEC and it will work great. Installing PleXBMC will get you connected to your new HTPC.

2. I wasn't sure which box on techbuyers you wanted me to look at, so I ignored that page. The Assassin's recommendation will work just fine.

3. You don't need a video or sound card, it's built-in.
