I now have a media server with amost 3000 songs stored using windows media lossless format. I am burning my playlists to cd to use in the car which has a 6 disc changer. I would really love it if there were some way to write CD-RWs such that they could be played in the car, but later rewritten when I want to hear new songs.

Is this possible?

Many new car cd changers are compatible with cd-rw media (basically, they have to support mutiread, and be able to read low reflectivity cd-rw medium).

Have you tried a cd-rw media in your car? Try buring a single session audio cd on cd-rw, see if your changer is compatible
