When playing HD on my HiDTV card, I'm getting a lot of "glitches" in the VOP (Video over PCI) window. Playback via the HD output from the HiDTV card is smooth, so it seems to be an issue with the PCI bus. ?

Some basic hardware specs: Athlon 1800+, 512MB memory, Radeon 9000

What tools are available which can help diagnose PCI bottlenecks? I'm running a task manager called TasKInfo2003 which provides a lot more information than the Windows Task Manager, and it's telling me a few things which may or may not be significant:

'System Idle Process' is running around 20%, so cpu doesn't seem to be a bottleneck.
The only processes taking more than 1% cpu are 'System', 'HiDTV PRO Viewer', and the TaskInfo process.
Hardware interrupts per second: ~1350. This seems like a lot, but is it?

I thought about an IRQ conflict, but only a USB controller is sharing an IRQ with the HD card, and there is no significant USB activity. To verify this, I unplugged each USB device in turn, but I observed no improvement.

I have turned off everything in the task bar that doesn't need to be there.

I think it's some kind of "hardware conflict" but I'm not sophisticated enough to know what to try.

I'm looking for suggestions. Things to try.
