As mentioned before, I have had a few problems with DVDs hanging and crashing Win98. I use PowerDVD XP and a Pioneer 106s DVD-ROM drive. I thought at first that these spots on the discs that caused crashes were large scratches, but they seemed to play fine on a stand-alone DVD player.

Well, last night I tried Zoomplayer, ATI, and WinDVD and neither of them froze on the places that again crashed with PowerDVD.

Anyone else see this before or have a reasoning behind it?
