I have looked at the Kramer 201 VGA switcher from Markertek for $126.

My question is do i need a 15 pin VGA type inputs and outputs between a DTC 100, HTPC and XGA projector (all have 15 pin VGA/RGB female connectors) or can i purchase a used Extron on EBAY with the 5 RGBS connectors for each input/output which would require a VGA to BNC/RCA breakout cable(s). Is ther latter desireable meaning will a RGBS switcher degrade the picture on a system like mine or is it optimal and why? Myself i would prefer to maintain the original VGA type ins and outs so there is no separation/conversion of the signal but maybe i am wrong. Enlighten me please.

Wanted to buy if someone has one available

Serge, I've wondered the same thing and although I have never tried it, I can't imagine using the breakout cable would degrade the signal much since it involves no electronics and no filtering (as far as I know). However, since you would need to purchase three or four breakout cables along with the Extron, I think you might as well save yourself the mess and just go with the VGA switcher. I just got the Kramer VP-211 and for my display (only 480p native) it works well switching my progressive DVD player and DTC100. I like the fact that it switches audio as well.
