I had similar problem. What I did was to create my own monitor profile with Powerstrip.
Right-click on the pstrip icon, and select 'Options -> Monitor Information'.
Choose 'Write custom monitor driver' from the drop-down in the bottom-left.
Set the Horizontal and Vertical to '1920' and '1080'.
Scan frequencies to '35' (kHz) and '63' (Hz).
These settings work well for me, and for Leszek too (this info is really from him).
Remember - this is just setting the limits - your powerstrip-defined resolutions will have less than 35kHz and 63Hz scanrates, so this should work just fine.
