Ciao guys,
I got my Nec XG 135LC and I got a htpc for use with it.
It is a Celeron 766, ATI Radeon 32DDR, audio by Guillemot FOrtissimo II(with optical output), Pioneer dvd 104 (16x40x).Win 98.
After 3 days I was becoming crazy , yeasterday I reformat the Harddisk : my problem now is that if I run a Dts Demo disk (n°3 and 4 ) , or Eagles dts with power dvd it crash after 20seconds.
Then I said : ok Dts can create some problems...but with others dvd in only DD I get after 30seconds " Your disk is duty, please clean " I try again and it goes for 3 minutes then again this borring message!
Image is not fluid , better goes fluid for 10-20 seconds then "skip" then goes then skip then again "Your disk is duty" http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif
I don't know what else to do.
Please help .
Thank you
Fabietto

I had similar symptoms with PowerDVD and my Toshiba M1212 drive. This was not with DTS disks thought.

A firmware upgrade for the DVD drive cured my problems.

Be careful - a bad firmware update could damage your DVD drive - or block region free use if you are doing that.
Pioneer site is here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...201100,00.html

Region free firmware elsewhere...

Thank you for reply JasG.
I get everything ok simply disconnetting the cd-writer on the same cable of Dvd Pioneer becouse it couldn't get DMA able on it.
So tonight I saw all Dts demo dvds I have, and a movie by the rgbhv from my Ati : I can't belive it !! Fanstastichttp://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif
