I had Win98 installed, everything was working, Cineplayer & PowerDVD 3.0 with 5.1 and DTS via an M-Audio Audiophile. I wanted a machine just for HT, so I formated the drive and installed Windows Me, now both Cineplayer and PowerDVD won't play DVD's. The machine locks up and I need to reboot. Insterestingly I can play a DVD file from a regular CDROM, but that is all I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can boot Windows 2000 Advanced Server on the same machine different hard disk and I can play DVD's albeit with no Digital Audio.

Hi Imws:

___Unregister the direct show filters using DVD Genie 3.xx/4.0. PowerDVD does not get along well with the ATI/Cinemaster and or Cinemaster player themselves with the filters being registered/shared.

___Good Luck

Check drivers! I had to update my video driver in a non HT PC when going to ME. Took a little while to figure out whats a good driver on Win98 is not so on ME.
