Since Delta 1010 driver is screwed up,
Hoontech SoundTrack Audio DSP24 will be another option: http://203.248.187.2/cwb-data/data/r...SP2000_new.JPG http://www.hoontech.com/english/prod...000/index.html http://www.hoontech.com/english/prod...ac3_index.html

I dunno why but IVI said we cannot test the DTS-ES decoding of WinDVD3 just because 8-channel soundcard does not exist. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Maybe we can find the answer here: http://www.hoontech.com/english/service/qa_index.html

Does Cliff have Delta Theater/ST Audio DSP24 + addon now?
If so, we will know the results of DTS-ES test.

Thanks.

I don’t have the Delta Theater card yet. It has been delayed about 30 days because they had to redesign the board layout. I do have the ST Audio DSP24 soundcard, but I don’t have the addon.

I also don’t have WinDVD3.

BBQ,

Maybe if we back up two versions of the driver for the 1010 we can test? That one seemed to have correct channels (don't remeber what didn't work though!).

I don't have those drivers any more!

I'm flying to Tokyo in a couple of hours, but maybe Bill Gaw is in the mood http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Good luck!

Sad news!

I found older drivers (5.12.1.1) and tried them on gladiator DTS ES.

I had no speakers connected, just looked in the delta mixer.
There is no activity on channels 7 or 8 http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif

I just ran some scenes with lots of activity in the rear. Figured that some should be in the ES channel ... nothing!

Does the Hoontech SoundTrack Audio DSP24 have a master volume control? The M-Audio Delta 1010 doesn't.
