Caught this in another forum and it sure seems like this bill would affect Telemann. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/Forum20/HTML/004799.html

Probably not immediatly. At any rate any hardware legally manufactured and sold before such a stupid law was inacted would have to be grandfathered in, just like the 'assault weapons' ban. Ya know, I wonder if this is just a ploy to try and increase stagnent computer sales in an effort to re-vitalize the sagging economy? It worked for gun sales in 1994.

I read through the actual bill and it does have a provision for grandfathering.

I am thinking about the effect on Telemann being allowed to sell the Hipix NEXT year if this bill passes.

BTW, this can't possibly be to help the economy - the bill is sponsored by a Dem and a Republicanhttp://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif
