We recently added support for ATI's HD card in the beta version of J. River Media Center 11. A thread here describes more:

The main thing I liked about the J. River Media Center 11 other than the fact that it just plain worked was the way the support for HDTV WONDER was done. Analog and HDTV OTA stations all appear on the same station list.

The video modes allow the player to run as a single window or full screen.

Here are a few notes I posted on Rage3D about the software.

I posted the following on Rage3D on March 3.

Yes, another program that works with the ATI HDTV WONDER card.

Actually works very well.

Media Center 11 is available here:
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/m...nter110201.exe

I am able to use the ATI HDTV WONDER DTV section as well as Analog Tuner, Composite and S-VIDEO. They actually did a great job with this program.
Not a free program but it is one you can try out for 30 days.

This is the 1st program I have seen that understands the use of "non-cabled" connection to get the audio.
Now I do have a problem where I have to select TV first before S-VIDEO to clear the TV sound. Not sure why but.... It all works anyway.

I do think the beta has a few problems, if it did not it would not be beta then would it?

Note: I have my Dish connected to the RF input so I only see Channel #3 for the TV.

Well it is at least another program to try.
The Media Center 11 is a one program does all. You can select HDTV channels, analog channels, S-VIDEO and Composite all from the same place.
This program also handles all your music and videos.

Seems to record fine with HDTV content to MPEG file.
Analog also has a lot of record options.

It is nice to see even more 3rdParty support for the ATI HDTV WONDER.

Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Build: Service Pack 1.v.1289
ATI AIW 9700 PRO

I was not able to test the ATI HDTV WONDER drivers but the WDM drivers for the ATI AIW 9700 PRO worked fine for me with the JRiver - MediaCenter Beta 110196 drop.

While I am not a JRiver - MediaCenter customer I do have like to know what works with the ATI media cards and I share what I have found.

jriver, I am a try before you buy guy and am trying Media Center 11 right now.

I love it, everything seems to work great except I have one problem that I have searched for answers too and just can not find.

I have about 3000 songs in flac on a hard drive on a computer on my network. When I try to access the folder with JRMC and see the songs it takes forever I mean a whole day. Finally I have to give it the tree fingered solute and end program and can never get them all in.

Is there an issue with large folders of songs or am I doing something wrong? Winamp which I tried but don't like doesn't have this issue. If JRMC didn't do this I would be sending my money immediately.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

grogs and snorf,
Thanks for the kind words!

snorf,
Please try our forum for support:

It's either the network drive software or the flac input plug-in. Try the files locally to see what you learn.

The database will handle 100's of thousands of files without problems. You've got something else going on. If you've got a thumbnail view set, it takes a while to build thumbnails but not all day. You can try a list view of the files to see if that's a factor.
