The Xplosion will encode up to EAX 2 into DTS for games but not the newer EAX versions but that isn't the sound card's fault. Creative hasn't licensed them..... but this is about to change. Auzentech has been able to license the X-Fi chipset from Creative and will be using it in an upcoming soundcard called "Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1" which you can read about on the Auzentech website.

Hello.

Couple days ago I have built HTPC for watching HD content (HDDVD and BlueRay) with good sound quality, so I decided to buy auzentech sound card. (x-plosion).
My system running under Vista 32bit OS.
After installing newer drivers for sound card I noticed, I can't choose in sound options in control panel other (greater) than bit depth 16bits and sampling freq. 48Khz (sharing mode)
My setup is connected to amplifier by analog output (I upgraded opamps).
X-plosion have specification : Full-duplex 8CH 24bit/96kHz DAC so WHY I CAN'T choose for example 24bits/96KHz.
Next question is about exclusive mode in windows vista.
Power DVD using this mode under Vista?
If I play movie in PDVD from BlueRay disc and choose in options analog 6ch. sound output for a trueHD what bith depth and frequency I recieve in amplifier?

This page has the generic drivers for the C-Media chip (the one in the X-Plosion) for Vista.

Health insurance inevitably leads to poor quality, inefficiency, inflated costs for health care, and rationing.
