But what's the charge per month to use it? Does it say? I get a page not found error when trying to research.

Wink Why worry, be happy....

Nani, yes there is a 32-bit W10, which you can get via the "Insiders' Preview" site.

I've been testing W10-64 and working with our team to update CW_EPG for it (and W10-32 automatically, since CW_EPG is a 32-bit program). Thanks to the team's work (primarily, Dale's yeoman's efforts) we're nearly there now.

Perhaps not as Windows 10 will be the last Windows. He is actually off giving his money away (And Warren Buffett 's money also.)

I did determine that W10 does have a 32 Bit edition.
Windows Update would not give me the W10 upgrade Icon like it did on my W7 64 Bit Laptop.

So now off to the MyHD thread to see if anyone has tried MyHD on W10.

Got my notification today too. Using Win7 64 Ultimate and saw a weird box in the running APS notification area. Agreed to the eventual download but probably won't install it till I get something that will work in place WMC for my Prime.
Silicon Dust is working on a DVR solution that should work with cable card and regular HomeRun boxes so maybe once I have a working beta it'll be worth the upgrade.
For many here where the EPG is working fine probably not a issue as no need for WMC, and should be working with 10 too.
You can install a WMC add-on to 10 but then it will refuse to run windows updates supposedly.

And I keep setting the W10 Icon to not be displayed and it keeps coming back on each restart.

I need to pay the $$$ to MS for the W7 Home Premium to W7 Pro upgrade for some features I thought were not needed.

Maybe then the W10 Icon will appear with Windows Update on the 32 Bit Edition.

Be sure and burn the DVD's when you install W10, that's the only way to do a clean install like I need to do.

Nani, just go to the ISO download site and get your W10-32 now: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso

Chances seem good that once you're in the "insiders" program you'll be grandfathered into W10 RTM ownership too.

P.S.: If you're not ready to install it as a dual-boot option, you can also install it in an Oracle VBox VM to get used to it. (But you can't install MyHD in a VM)

As I've mentioned and Steve (KAXKID) and Minh (Tranle) have confirmed, CW_EPG is that something already.

Suggests waiting is better, but Home Premium upgrade to Pro needs to be done first. Before or after wiping the hard disk clean to fix the Fusion abort on rewind problem.

Wait, could I get W 10 Pro without upgrading from Home Pro. That does not sound right.

I have that computer dual booting now but using Linux GPARTD to create partitions is the problem.

And I need to fix the "F" grade for Internet download speed soon, webpages are getting very slow to load.

Too much to do, too little time left.

I will look at downloading W10 32 Bit very soon. Thanks for that and the dual boot idea if I can do it.

MS outlawing Partition Magic keeps coming back for me to be horrible.

I got the W10 Insider 32 Bit ISO burned to a DVD.

Now to figure out how to save the existing W7 32 Bit installation and partition the 500 GB disk after "Nuking" it.

If I can get better partition sizes then I will be able to dual boot.

Terry, are you suggesting that I may not need to upgrade W7 Home Premium to W7 PRO? I need to read the details but where are they. The link from the Paradox forum does not match up with the Insider program.

Nani, I'm not at all clear on how MSFT plans to align W10 versions (if any) with the prior version ownership. However, if they grandfather us "insiders" I expect they'll let us keep the version we've been testing (i.e., the full monty).

Episode Numbers

I have long wondered how TMS / Gracenote assigns Episode Numbers.

After discovering KQED Inc. latest upcoming blunder with "Prime Suspect" numbers 5, 23 last Friday and upcoming Friday to be 7, 24 I Googled "how does gracenote assign episode numbers" and got this web site:

http://www.gracenote.com/video/unique_id/

It gets interesting here:

http://developer.tmsapi.com/page/Quickstart_Guide

And this that I will send to a friend:

EyeTV EPG switches to My EyeTV Gracenote
http://blog.macplaza.co.uk/2013/02/e...etv-gracenote/

And this to post to my local OTA list:

http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/da...9310d1012b.htm

Not an answer to my question, what will actually be shown Friday I will need to wait.

I found a website long ago that also assigned unique ID's, but TMS / Gracenote may be the same or that one just never caught on.

I have CW_EPG set up to email me whenever it schedules anything. It stopped doing so a few months back. I use Verizon for email and they've made some changes which I incorporated into my email client but forgot to do in CW_EPG. I figure their grace period ended and I'm sure that's part of the problem. But when I made the changes to CW_EPG's email page it still didn't work.

The changes are:
SMTP Mail Host: outgoing.verizon.net => smtp.verizon.net
Port: 587 (originally 25) => 465
Secure Connection Required (SSL): unchecked => checked

I'm using an old email client (Agent 2.0) that doesn't understand SSL, so back when Verizon said they were going to require it I installed Stunnel, which lets me point Agent to localhost using the non-SSL ports. Stunnel adds SSL and converts to the proper ports. So I set up CW_EPG to use Stunnel by sending to localhost unencrypted on port 587. That worked. So why didn't it work to let CW_EPG do SSL directly? What am I doing wrong?

ebo, I think that your problem is that CW_EPG's emailer can use SSL, but doesn't (yet) do TLS, which many mail hosts now require instead of SSL. The only workaround for the present is to use no encryption and port 25, which only works if your mail host can be persuaded to trust your CW_EPG sender or, as you did, if you use an indirect route.

Thank you; that's probably it. I'll leave it set up to use Stunnel for now.
