After my experience with the ATI x1900xtx and underscan on my Sony KDL-46V2500, I am considering getting a Nvidia card.

So, could those of you using these cards and getting 1:1 please post your results and which 1080p LCD you have?

I would really appreciate it.

Best,
Jeff

I think you mean 7900GTX. The 6900GTX doesn't exist

Health insurance inevitably leads to poor quality, inefficiency, inflated costs for health care, and rationing.

I'm looking for a little clarification here.

the manual says NO. But I've heard of it done (namely with a mac mini and their tweaking programs) on the KDL-40v2500 over HDMI.

Can someone please clarify. I'm looking to construct a HTPC with my KDL being the pri monitor, and I don't want to be "stuck" with vertical bars on either side if I use the RGB connection...

Thanks gents.

I have my 40v2500 hooked up via DVi to HDMI cable, 1080p no problems what so ever. TV has an option for 1 to 1 pixel mapping. My vid card is geforce 6800. TV is Japanese

I have a 40V2500 with DVI to HDMI on a 7900GS running MCE at 1920 X 1080P 1.1. No problems for over 3 months.

When I threw up the image on DVI-HDMI connector @ 1920x1080 the image did NOT look as good as my wife's lappy (using RGB connection) @ 1400x1050. It was also overscanned to about 1 inch all around past the screen edge.

I'm running an NVIDIA 7800GT, not that that should matter except in tweaking utilities (nvidia vs ati control panels).

Workarounds, things I haven't tried?

Thanks for the tips thus far.

The reason it doesnt look good and have overscanning is because you need to change the setting on the TV to use full pixel mode. This turns on the 1:1 pixel mapping and every single dot will be pixel perfect/razor sharp. You should check out the AVS Forum thread for getting the colors calibrated perfectly here:

Can your HTPC Media Center / DVR Do this??

SageTV: Unrestricted full-quality 12 tuner HD Premium Cable recording, including "On Demand" in HD + OTA ATSC + DVB-S2 + Blu-ray/HD-DVD serving 5 clients.
