Count me in as one who would "like" to continue to use MyHD.

Far as Win10 use; I use win7 or XP until....

Cheers, Tp

I saw a chart that said W7 support ended in 2015 and extended support in a couple of years.

XP is a dead duck as every security update to Vista, W7 and W10 tells the hackers exactly where to hit XP.

Disconnect the Internet or walk around with a bulls eye painted on your back.

The incredible shrinking MyHD overlay on W7

The incredible shrinking MyHD overlay on W7 may be graphics card Mfg. dependent.

My ATI (ASUS Graphics Card 4350) sure looks like it gets smaller, but there may be a lower limit.

This MSFT page is the one Nani means. It says that extended support ends in 2020, so there's another 5 years of security updates at least for Windows 7 SP1. I believe that a WXP system on a LAN behind a NAT-equipped router and used only for MyHD and CW_EPG (especially as a "Helper") is pretty safe from any sort of hack job. But I certainly wouldn't go browsing around with one anymore.

Microsoft quietly rewrites its activation rules for Windows 10

It's a little different than I thought it might be, but the Retail vs OEM upgrade result is the same.

Insiders are not mentioned, this new information needs several more rereads to understand fully.
