When playing DVDs I finally have my setup running good at least during the movies. Maybe only one or two dropped frames per movie and no Audio dropouts. The only problem is the Menus and deleted scenes on many titles plays like crap. When I watched the delted scenes on Red Planet I had frequent freezes and bad audio dropouts. The same can be said for animated menus like the Matrix terrible audio dropouts and freezes. Has anybody else ran across anything like this? My setup is as follows.
Pentium III 500 MHZ
384 Megs of RAM
Windows 98 SE
WinDVD
Soundblaster Live value card with digital audio out.
Riva TNT 32meg video card with latest Nvidia drivers.
Creative labs 5X DVD (with hardware decoder card removed)
Powerstrip 3.0 running at 960x540p at 72HZ
Girder and IRman for remote control.
ECP 4500 CRT projector.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Today I tried cool DVD player and the glitches and audio dropouts from the menus were gone but it doesn't perform quite as well as WinDVD on the regular movie part. Surely somebody can give me a few clues as to what to try. Does anybody notice anything in my hardware profile that might cause some problems?
