I'm going to guess that TMT is locked to the Arcsoft filters, hence it continuing to work with one of the filters unregistered. PowerDVD works this way as I recall.

Hi Talon95,

...sorry for the newbie qustion but how exactly did you go about unregistering the arcsoft audio decoder?

Mark

download gspot, view all installed filters, right click unregister
you can re-register it anytime & also set a merit (priority) for filters/codecs

Yes, it works
Arcsoft mpeg demux + Arcsoft Audio Decoder HD + Arcsoft Video Decoder
If you try this on a crashed XP machine it can't connect the pins
It won't mix and match with other filters, you have to use these 3

You just select 'HEADPHONE' instead of '5.1 channels' (or 7.1) in the audio menu, and it will display perfect surround. LOL! ENJOY!

All this means is you have your amp in some "fake" surround sound mode. Headphones mutes and downmixes everything for FL and FR. The question is ..... have you ever listened to anything in real 5:1 or have you always used the fake setting on your amp.

Powerdvd works just fine on a secondary monitor in my case using Ultramon. The connection to the secondary monitor a Panasonic plasma goes via a 3870 through HDMI.

It's seems totally stupid to release a piece of software that can only function if there is only one display connected. Every grafikcard has two outputs, how can it be so hard to allow using both.

Jesper

This is a HDCP/DRM requirement, nothing to do with PDVD or Arcsoft

I don't know what your specific setup is, but multiple monitors certainly work with the Arcsoft player. My main desktop has three 20" monitors and I can certainly drag the player to any of the monitors and it plays perfectly fine. My family room HT has a 7" touchscreen as well as a projector and I can certainly drag the player to any of those as well and it plays perfectly fine.

Not all are, they are compatible but not compliant. The difference is compatible means the OEM can add the chip to make it compliant, not all versions are compliant.

As I stated earlier I'm able to get PowerDVD to play via HD 3870 and HDMI to my Panasonic plasma PX70 and through Vista VMC & My Movies.

The Arcsoft TMT also opens on the Panasonic, plays the soundtrack but shows only black screen

I downloaded the demo the other day, and last night I tried to play "Resident Evil-Extinction" on BR. ArcSoft played all the audio commentary tracks, whether or not they were selected in the menu. I could not find a way to disable the commentaries, and gave up playing the movie.
BTW, I played it using PowerDVD, and it played fine until 32 mins, where it blue-screen crashed the computer and rebooted. No luck there either!
Anyone else encountered this issue?

It's a comprehensive list current as of today.

Uh... It's probably gonna get confusing to have two threads going, so I'll see if the mods can close this one with a link to the new one as the last post.

This is much appreciated. I've held off on the current trial, but am looking forward to demo of the release.

About secondary display.

My Panasonic manual states the following: These HDMI connectors are compatible with HDCP copyright protection.

If anyone have found a solution please post it
