Nice setup, that cabinet looks great with everything.

Your htpc case looks really clean, what's the maker/ model for it? Do you recommend it after owning it?

PJ's = girlfriend lounging on the "foof chair" / giant bean bag

The HTPC case is an Origenae S16V ($450 case). I do love the case but it wasnt very easy to assemble. I had to modify my psu harnass because the adapter that comes with the case for the display power was junk and the push pins would not work together at all. The display color is different from the power and drive lights so it looks awkward. Right now I have the display turned off. The case is solid though and looks great.

I'll take more pictures once I get my new h67 motherboard because I had issues with mine due to the recall scenario. I'm also moving in a month and wall mounting the tv, changing the setup around and tweaking everything.

Thank you for the compliments!

Nice setup!

I saw the UN46C6300 here at Best Buy and thought it was the best of the 46" (size I'm going for) that I saw in several stores. Could you share your experience with yours? Good/bad/ugly?

I love the tv. Depends on what type of content u view. If u watch a lot of horror movies then don't get it because there is no local dimming. I have a CN panel so in an angle view it looks a little washed out but my living room is small so I'm always in the middle and picture quality is great. Most edge lite suffer from bleeding but from my tv there's no bleeding at all. Picture is very clear compared to the Sony n LG models I compared to in store. The samsung had great black level but the Sony had more vivid color but with some adjustment on the samsung the looks just as good. I also looked at the ln55c630, a non led samsung and I can a difference in picture quality. Overall I'm happy I don't think I can go back to regular LCD.

Thanks a lot for that!

How do I find out which panel the TV has before I buy it? And also, is this the model where the PIP can only play analog or something? I been reading so many reviews I'm forgetting where which tidbit is from where, lol. I am pretty set on getting the 46 for my room though.

it says it on the box there's a sticker. The D series is out u may want to get the D series a look at as there are reports the picture quality is better then the C series. Price is pretty much the same. Smarttv is cool but I find some of the apps are laggy. The PiP in the C series is only analog I have it hooked up to an antenna for OTA

My small fanless HTPC setup is mounted behind the TV. The HTPC is mainly used for TV and movies on demand.

The PC is based on a ZOTAC ION motherboard with a Atom N330 1.6GHz Dual-Core processor and connected to the TV with HDMI. In runs fanless and plays 720p videos without any problems. And 1020P videos on a good day :-)

The case is home made to ensure necessary ventilation.

I use the logitech dinovo mini as keyboard. The audio part is still under development.

As Promised, here are the updated pics after the installation of a kef Kht3005se speaker system and Denon 3311ci; replaced a bose Acoustimass 6 speaker system, and denon 2308ci. Original post is pg 20 post # 585

center speaker along with kinect and wii sensor

Rears hanging off the ceilings

shot of my small living room

shot of the sub behind the Av stand because my cat would love to chew the exposed sub. So i bought a motion sensor device that projects compressed towards it if it comes within two feet of the device. lol

I still need to do a better job of hiding the wires, any suggestions?

Mobo: ASUS P67 Sabertooth
RAM: 8 gigs of Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer – pattern and color can be changed via software
GFX: two NVIDIA Geforce 580s in SLI
PSU: Silverstone Zeus 1200m – some of the cables I sleeved and some are extensions from Frozen CPU

HTPC:
Asus AT3N7A-I (1.6 dual core atom + ion)
NES Case
MediaGate MGIR01BK Remote/dongle (wouldnt recomend, it just failed)
raphnet.com 4nes4snes adapter (one usb, can wire any combination of 4snes/nes controllers)

TV:
****** Phillips 55" (replaced my 40" samsung which was also a peice of crap)

Consoles:
360 Slim (250gb hddhackr style)
Launch Wii (rarely use it)
PS3 Slim (stock 250, rarely use it)

Satelite:
ExpressVu 9242 (dual tuner, dual tv hd pvr)

HTPC streaming from server in another room:
Forget the specs, GB mobo, x2 6500 or something running ubuntu.
10x 1TB WD Black in LVM (software raid5 was NFG with some of these drives since they lack support to enable TLER)

Not too crazy about spending loads of cash anymore on AV equipment. I find myself unsatisfied with my purchases almost always. Just going low end/cheaper nowadays and saying **** it. I hardly watch anything now aside from my TV shows which are downloaded anyways so having high quality equipment was a huge waste for me.

Here's a quick picture:
my picture is too large, removed. might get another one later.
