Re: the "2900" RID file... I see that this was the KenL-published "-1" on "send enter"
version, available here
, where Ken noted that it was only capable of tuning the primary sub-channel, .1, owing to embedding the "-1" into the "send enter" command; however, your notes indicate that you used WiRNS to remap two ".2" sub-channels, for WPBN-NBC(29.2) and WCMV-PBS(27.2). Were you able to successfully tune these sub-channels using this RID file? (Heeding the "only .1's" warning, I went with the older LG LST 3100A OTA HDTV tuner RID
Other than the lack of S-Video output, my only complaint with the Zenith DTT-901 was that it doesn't return to a powered-on state after a power outage. Did you find this, as well? Or is there some configuration setting I missed?
p.s. General impressions on Zenith DTT901:

+ good handling of picture shape/aspect ratio
