Following the "sky is falling" mood that seems to prevail some threads recently I wondered how many monthly subscribers were out there and if that generated enough revenue for DNNA to keep the servers alive.

I know there was some speculation in the past but I can't find it.

I tend to also be optimistic in thinking if DNNA cleared out it's present stock with required lifetime on some then they must plan on 2-3 more years of service. Otherwise it's a bit of a kick in the pants.

I had planned on paying lifetime once I knew I liked Replay - that was two years ago. Wish I could find the money - of course now it would be $300 instead of $250. At least I'm only paying $10 per month.

I did a formal historical count:14. We have 13 lifetimes (counting the one I gave my brother) and 1 inactivated.

I can only make a physical mental count of 12 though. If we lost two lifetime replaytvs I don't know what I'd do :( But I assume we still have them all; mental counts can be confusing.

I have 1 pvss2710 combo unit, 1 4000, and 4 50XXs (3 of which have lifetime)

Liz has a showstopper, 3 lifetime 50XXs, 1 55XX that I remember and presumably 2 other 50XX lifetimes (might have to give her one of mine if we don't find the two :( )

I gave my brother 1 50XX. Somehow I still consider it mine (making 7).

Buying them is addictive. We have one of almost every existing model/line plus tons of 50XXs. I wish we didn't own so many: what a waste of replaytv utilization. No I won't trade one for a hot dog bun ;)

hope you enjoyed the catharisis

EDIT:
Forgive me for my arrogance. Please accept these two phone numbers of competing 100% Free 411 services:
1-800-411-METRO (will directly connect you even if long distance at no charge)
and
1-800-FREE-411 (will speak the phone number of the listing you requested)
Put them in your cell phones as a work around to using your cell phone's 411 service.
To clarify: both of these services are entirely free, and nifty. No I don't work for either. Just happy I discovered them.

I have 3 lifetimes, and 1 unit I just purchased that I plan on making monthly. Of course it died shortly after arrival, so it is under repair at replay right now.

So that's about 20 or so monthly units, which, at $6.95 each/month comes to $139.00/month (more if some of those units aren't on a discount plan). Hummmm, I wonder if l8er would be willing to take over running the servers for that - we'd have 99.8% or better uptime and we wouldn't have to listen to all those commercials for www.siteuptime.com anymore...

Still no news from New Zealand.
If we ever get any, we'll be sure to let you know.

2 lifetimes and 5 monthly.

I've been thinking of converting my 5 monthly to lifetime....just haven't decided if I'll do it gradually or all at once or some combination.

I just send a text message to Google for phone numbers. That way I can refer to it later easier. All you do is send your text message to "GOOGL" (46645) with the yellow pages listing name you want + zip code or city, state. So txt "GOOGL" with "pizza hut.92054" will get you all the Pizza Hut's in 92054 zip code.
