Hi.
We have just purchased a logitech surround system and would like to replace our existing really old and outdated speakers that we have on the four corners of the ceiling. The logitech speakers have a cable with a plug on the end that connects into the sub woofer. We currently have the old standard speaker wire going into the wall and up into the ceiling for the old speakers and are wondering if there is a way we can splice or connect the logitech speaker wires into these wires as we don't want to have to rewire the whole room. Can someone help please?

Not 100% sure what your asking. What model Logitech do you have. If you just want to use old speaker wire with Logitech that would be fine. But if you have model info I can look it up and help you out

Hi. Thanks for your reply. The system we have is a Logitch SX-540, nothing elaborate or expensive but we hope it will do the trick.
Really want to know if we can splice the wires etc to join up with the old fasioned speaker wires in the ceiling. (cut the current logitech wires both ends and put the old fashioned wires in between if you know what I mean)
Thanks again and hope to hear from you.

Just looked it up, there will be no issue, as long as you keep the strands isolated from each other at the splice. It appears the speakers just connect with RCA instead of speaker wire. It's still a 2 wire system.

Chop away
